Do you still believe?
In the spirit of "The
Polar Express", we gave out free 'I Believe' bells.
Over 1,100 bells were given out during the month to
local believers. |

Useless Facts for 2007
For those keeping score at home, here are some useless statistics of our
2007 display:
- Total lights for 2007:
almost 50,000
- Total of LED lights used: about 7,000
- Total number of individual channels (circuits) controlled: 212
- Power used: about 80 amps spread across seven dedicated
circuits (in our tribute to Al Gore, the use of
LED's has reduced our power consumption by almost 20%)
- Added cost of electricity
in December: still not as bad as you might think
- Extension cords
used:
lost count but approximately 150 totaling about 4,400 feet
- Number of extension cords
chewed by raccoons each year: about 3
- Number of raccoons harmed by our display:
unknown (little do they know, power is on continuously on
some of
those cords all night long)
- Setup time: about 70 hours,
teardown time about 36 hours
- Storage: everything
(almost) is stored in an attic above our garage taking up about 250 sq. feet
